Abigail Bettencourt - The Plagiarist
On July 8, 2015, Lost
Girl was uploaded to Amazon by a big time plagiarist. But thanks to one of my readers who alerted me, I was able to contact Amazon Reps and get them to take the plagarized version down and off of this thief's account. Click the link below
to see the person who stole Lost Girl and passed it off as their own:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=dp_byline_sr_ebooks_1?ie=UTF8&field-author=Abigail+Bettencourt&search-alias=digital-text&text=Abigail+Bettencourt&sort=relevancerank
As some of you know, when I Do publish my work on Amazon, it is under the name of Liz Davis. So you can be assured this Abigail Bettencourt is Not me. I actually ordered the book to make sure it was my novel, and after going through the entire thing, I saw that it was INDEED my book, word for word. The only thing she changed was the title, name of the characters, and description of the book! Screenshot of what it looked like before Amazon took it down:
And now, the description:
As you can see, she tried to make it seem as if the book was about something else. Shady as heck, eh? Do not purchase this book if you come across it on any other websites. It is MY book that this thief has posted under a fake name.
I wrote Lost Girl with my own blood, sweat and tears, and this Thief just stole it without any second thought. She clearly does not have any integrity, nor respect for authors and the hard work they put into their babies (creations).Thankfully, however, Amazon took this plagarized version down within hours of me reporting her.
NOTE TO OTHER AUTHORS OUT THERE:
Be careful what you publish to online fiction sites. I myself have stories posted on literotica and valent chamber, which is obviously where she stole my work from. While it is good to post chapters and receive feedback from readers, please be careful about how you go about doing it. There are thiefs out there who lack the creativity and gumption to create their own content, so they just rip somebody else off and post it as their own. "Abigail Bettencourt" you should be ashamed of yourself. Bad karma to do something like that. Just know that I have eyes and ears out there who will not allow you to get away with doing something so dishonest.
